Just got back from beyond

Whew...

What a loonnggg strange trip.
well, should really go about expressing my recent, though long term absence...

While drawing and submitting concepts to potential clients, I had been summoned to the door by a person questioning my disinterest in the voting process... I let her know that while I was in actuality interested, the laws governing such citizen rights, forbid me from participating, and so I would rather not be bothered at the moment, to which, she demanded a reason why i was not allowed to take part, I merely stated i was once incarcerated...

Two days later the management of the apartment complex demanded that I remove myself from the premises... And so, my grandfather and myself relocated to another state. During the relocation, my computer decided to heave it's last breath, and having found no work in my favored area of employment, i ended up working 12 hour days for minimum wages, at a temp service. Finally finding work, for six months i scrimped and saved but alas!

my quick relocation caused quite a stir and I was summoned back to the previous state for not having renewed my driver's license.
six months later i returned, worked again at a loss, but regained my previous employment, lasting another 6 months.

Anyway, I finally found some time and perhaps some positive in that i may draw and post some more stuff...

  • Mood: Wow!
  • Listening to: Uriah Heep
  • Reading: the white dragon

insaneity

i've lost my mind, can't seem to find it nowheres... my workstation decided that it had dad sectors, and told me i should check it, almost 4 million clusters, it's a 400mhz unit, and to check the disc, takes forever and a day... finally it finished and only 535k in bad areas... whew!!! i thought i had lost somethin' of value...

on the positive side of things, a cult asked me to join, well, they came to my door and announced their great plans, which btw, included me!!!:D
so I acquiesed and bid them enter, after fourty-five minutes, coffee all around, they finally realized that i really wasn't their sort of conscript, and they bid a hasty retreat... told me that i was in peril, and in great need of faith... [i had explained to them that i was agnostic, they presumed i meant i perscribed to gnosticism, and fervently tried to save me from the wicked ways of gaul... I patiently explained that i was hiding from the inquisitors]

I finally got my laundry done, i had to wait for scan disc to finish, wow, three loads, what a chore that was... I did, the 'these are dirty' routine and glomped more soap in the washer... I had to run them again to get them rinsed though... troubling... i got three shiny new nickles, they are sooo purdy... a really neat change, i thought they were foreign at first...

amazed every time I wander the galleries of d'art

Fri May 28, 2004, 7:05 PM
a thousand miles i've traveled each time i am immediately reminded how far i must go to really catch the essense of this art form I've chosen to conquer.... my goodness, the amount of great things i've witnessed, my work pales in reflection.

still I trudge along...

while at a local park, I was watching the character artists plying their trade, such an awkward form that is, i wondered aloud that if this 'crap' sells as artistic representation, i wonder haw anime would fare if given the same chance... the artist gave me a dirty look, and later on caught me in the parking lot... boy did I step in it that time, it took me about ten minutes of beratement until I got my answer, anime isn't real art , he said, it is nothing but cartoons... but I pressed on, I asked " why not? it gives alot more than required to the story, in one panel you have the jist of the emotion, even without it being translated, one can grasp the story!!!" he humphed and moved on, perhaps I should go to the mall of america and set up an anime portrait kiosk, then maybe it'll be taken seriously... :giggle: can you imagine me trying this? they would laugh me out of there...

online banking

enjoying the fruits of one's labors is always the sweetest of pleasures.
Yet, when confronted with the most inept, ridiculously retarded of systems, like my bank's pale production of online banking. This is horrible, not only does this open the doors of extreme greed, it also revolves the late-payment dial. Living within my means, consists of timing payments as an exact science, hopefully when balence due comes in, pasyments go out, in a timely fashion.

My bank likes to make payments prior to my wishes, by paying one day early, the two current ones cannot be dealt with, so I am charged for over draft, the payment made comes back because it is too early to accept payment and then I am charged with a returned check fee. pretty soon I expend all my pecuniary allowence on charges and have nothing to show, except mor charges from those whose payments were to have been dealt with on a timely basis!!!

Most recently, my telephone payment had been scheduled to be paid [i was in arrears, but that is not the point] on the date the company wanted it, the payment was made the following day, the company shut off my phone, I was certain that this was a mistake, so I went to a neighbor and was granted permission to phone the phone company, they responded that the had called repeatedly and sent many reminders to which I have yet to respond to, argh!!! I said I was certain that this matter was already addressed, and that could they look at the payment history...I was then released to the dial tone while they looked. I couldn't go online to see my account, so I didn't konw what was up. on my way back I stopped off at my post box, and was greeted with the phone company's missives, wonderful, all telling me that the service would be shut off, unless I posted my payment, and that they were willing to accept a payment by phone... now, without a phone, I was stumped. I decided to defrag my comp andd watch comedey central all night.
this morning I was awakened by the telephone, it was another collector looking for me, I said that i wasn't in at the moment, could I take a message, the power company was wondering where my monthly receipt was...

lo and behold!! my phone was on, I dialed into my banks orifice and found the payment made a day late,[no apology] an email, that they were experiencing tech problems, i copied this missive and sent it to the power company who sent a response that they do not have their system set up to respond to the email. I called the power company and they couldn't find my account but would call back when they did...

just an idea

i wonder if I could take a group of people on an art trip. a sorta rpg game where they develop their characters, for a quest. kinda middle earth-ish, no die rolling just kinda group imagination sort of thing.
for example, the group could get a message with the scenario, a map and the objective. whether or not they succeed is what legends are made of.
I suppose that it could take quite some time. but it's really more imagination than a gaming system.
